this project was produced over a 2 week period. I restricted myself to only the material on hand and worked with a system that resembled the dimensions of common construction material, scaled down 2×4s, 4×4s, and sheets of plywood measuring 4″ x 8″. The objects may be divided into stages of construction, foundation, framing and interior. The taller “tripod” pieces relate to siting the building and foundation. The wrapped pieces relate to framing and the painted “walls” and furniture reference the interior. I worked on more than one piece at a time, allowing one form to lead me to the next. Materials used include bass and cherry wood, dowels, glue, masking and drywall tape, plastic sheeting, garbage bags and paint.

another shot of the remodel abstraction series. I arrived home yesterday to find more remodeling in process. Currently portions of the walls in our bedroom and living room are being texturized. I think I could use this.

working feverishly on the remodel abstraction series. The Headlands is a magical place. Tonight is the annual alumni dinner. I am helping in the kitchen in trade for food. Many photos to post later. Now it’s time to work and play.
